Graduated from Clarion HS in Pennsylvania in 2009...was named the district MVP as a senior after hitting .727 with 11 homers and 56 RBI...also earned All-State honorable mention honors in football as a linebacker (128 tackles) and running back (over 6 yards per carry)...was also the kicker and punter on his team...was a four-year letterman in both sports... Went on to attend Allegheny Community College for two seasons where he was a first-team All-Maryland JUCO and Region 20 first-team selection... Transferred to Clarion University in 2012 and ranked second in Division II baseball with a .526 on-base percentage while batting .387...received ABCA Division II AllAtlantic Region honors... For his senior season, played at Brewton Parker College in Georgia where he was the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year after batting .366 with 12 homers, 41 RBI and a 1.183 OPS...ranked fourth in NAIA Division I baseball in slugging (.717) and seventh in homers... Was drafted by Houston in the 21st round of the June 2013 draft...signed by Astros scout Gavin Dickey... Is currently signed to a minor league contract for the 2018 season...invited to Major League Spring Training for the third consecutive season on Jan. 25, 2018.

2017

Had a very productive, but injury-shortened season at Triple A Fresno, hitting .299 (91x304) with 17 doubles, three triples, 16 home runs, 57 RBI, a .399 on-base percentage and a .533 slugging percentage in 87 games...played the corner outfield positions, making 45 starts in left field and 19 in right field... was with the Grizzlies all season, but sidelined from Aug. 10 on...prior to the season, appeared in 21 games for the Astros at Spring Training, hitting .308 (8x26) with a homer and five RBI.

2016

Invited to his first Major League Spring Training and appeared in 10 games for the Astros going 2x15 with an RBI and a walk...assigned to Fresno to begin the season and played the entire year in a Grizzlies uniform...hit .265 (108x407) with 24 doubles, 18 home runs, 69 RBI and an .811 OPS...led his club in doubles and total bases (194), while appearing defensively in the corner outfield exclusively (59g in RF, 48g in LF)...named the Fresno Player of the Month for August after batting .280 (35x125) with 10 doubles, one triple, eight homers, 25 RBI and a .906 OPS (.338 OBP/.568 SLG) in 31 games during the month...led all Pacific Coast League hitters in extra-base hits (19) during the month, while ranking second in homers.

2015

Had a breakout season in which he led the Double A Texas League in batting average (.327) and OPS (.988)...became the second player in Hooks history to win a batting title...was named a Texas League Postseason All-Star and the Hooks Player of the Year...added 28 doubles, four triples, 18 homers and 65 RBI to his ledger...struggled at the beginning of the season, batting just .227 (5x22) in seven games in April...hit .271 (19x70) with an .897 OPS in May before having a monster June...batted .403 (29x72) with a 1.062 OPS (.451 OBP/.611 SLG) in 21 June games...was named the Hooks June Player of the Month...had a solid July, batting .276 (24x87) with a .919 OPS, and then was named the Hooks August Player of the Month after hitting .376 (38x101) with a 1.145 OPS (.462 OBP/.683 SLG) in 27 games...was also named the MiLB.com August Texas League Player of the Month...had at least four homers in each month from May to August.

2014

Split the season between Class A Advanced Lancaster (39g) and Class A Quad Cities (52g)...in 91 games combined between the two levels, hit .291 (97x333) with 25 doubles, two triples, 16 homers, 50 RBI and an .868 OPS (.345 OBP/.523 SLG)...began the season at Quad Cities before joining the JetHawks on July 11.

2013

Started his professional career at Class A Short Season Tri-City, batting .221 (44x199) in 65 games...homered in his first professional at-bat on June 18.
