Last name is pronounced: bo-SHEERS...Graduated from Lee High School in Huntsville, AL, in 2006 and was a high school teammate of LHP Craig Kimbrel...Went on to attend Calhoun Community College in Decatur, AL, for one year...made 14 appearances in his freshman season of 2007, going 4-1 with a 3.89 ERA (20ER/46.1IP) with 60 strikeouts in 24.1 innings pitched... Drafted out of Calhoun by Los Angeles in the fourth round of the 2008 draft...signed by Angels scout Jim Bryant...Claimed off waivers by Houston from Minnesota on Jan. 22, 2018...has one option year remaining on his current contract.

2017

Had four Major League stints with the Twins, going 1-0 with a 4.89 ERA (19ER/35IP) in a career-high 38 appearances...held left-handed hitters to a .224 (13x58) opponent batting average and a .258 on-base percentage... made 18 minor league appearances, posting a 3.68 ERA (6ER/14.2IP)...began the year at Twins Spring Training for the second straight season and optioned to Triple A Rochester on March 28...had four MLB stints: April 23 for one day, April 28-May 2, May 30-Aug. 17 and Sept. 1 thru the end of the season...was on the Twins postseason roster, but did not appear in the Wild Card Game...posted a 2.51 ERA (4ER/14.1IP) with 10 strikeouts in 10 June games for the Twins... did not walk a batter in final 12 appearances (6IP), dating back to Aug. 17.

Was an invite to Twins spring training...reassigned to minor league camp March 23 and began season with Triple-A Rochester...Appeared in 15 games for the Red Wings April 12-May 20, posting 12 scoreless appearances of relief...Contract purchased by Minnesota May 25...Did not allow an earned run in each of his first 10 appearances for the Twins (7.2 IP) May 28-June 17...Optioned to Rochester July 4 when Trevor May was reinstated from disabled list...Recalled by Minnesota July 21...Placed on 15-day disabled list August 11 with left elbow inflammation; reinstated September 2...Posted a 0.79 ERA (11.1 IP, 1 ER) from September 3 through the rest of the season...Allowed just four of 18 inherited runners to score (22.2%) on the season...Combined to go 3-1, 2.90 ERA (62.0 IP, 20 ER) with 18 walks and 66 strikeouts in 59 games between Rochester and Minnesota.

Spent entire season with Somerset Patriots of the Independent Atlantic League...went 3-1, 1.00 ERA (54.0 IP, 6 ER) with 14 walks, 71 strikeouts and one home run allowed for the Patriots...ranked second in the Atlantic League in ERA and strikeouts-per-9.0 IP (11.8), and fifth in lowest WHIP (0.98)...named Atlantic League Reliever of the Year.

2013

Began season with Double-A Arkansas and went 3-2 with one save and a 3.14 ERA (28.2 IP - 10 ER) in 28 relief appearances for the Travelers...Was promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake on June 22... Made 16 appearances for Salt Lake and pitched to a 1-0 record with one save and a 3.66 ERA (19.2 IP - 8 ER)...Struck out 26 batters while walking 12 for Bees... Had contract selected by Angels on August 10 and made Major League debut that night at Progressive Field in Cleveland...Struck out the only batter he faced (Jason Kipnis) and became the sixth player in Halos history to fan the only batter faced during Major League debut... Compiled a 3.68 ERA (7.1 IP - 3 ER) at the Big A compared to a 5.63 mark (8 IP - 5 ER) on the road... Posted a 6.14 ERA (7.1 IP - 5 ER) against AL West opponents compared to a 4.26 mark (6.1 IP - 3 ER) against all other competition... Appeared in games on four consecutive days (August 14-17), becoming first Angel to pitch four days in a row since Brian Fuentes in 2009...
