Houston had hoped to get Presley back at some point in the next few days, but it looks like he won't return until the club's 10-game road trip is over. With the Astros in New York to face the Yankees beginning Tuesday, Presley would not have had to go far to rejoin the club.
"He had some discomfort in the cage before they got ready to go and do their work," Porter said. "We're going to back off him and reevaluate that oblique situation."
Earlier this week, injured outfielder George Springer suffered a setback in his rehab from a strained quad muscle and was shut down for two more weeks. Fortunately for the Astros, outfielder Dexter Fowler (intercostal) returned from the disabled list Wednesday.
