Right-hander Michael Feliz, the Astros' No. 7 prospect, threw eight scoreless innings Tuesday and Class A Quad Cities defeated Burlington, 4-0, in the second game of a doubleheader.

Feliz, ranked No. 98 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 Prospects list, struck out nine batters, walked none and held the Bees to three hits. It was his longest start of the season and matched the career high he set in 2012, while pitching for the Astros' affiliate in the Gulf Coast League.

All three of Burlington's hits Tuesday came with two outs and Feliz deftly worked around them. After a two-out single in the sixth inning, he retired the final seven batters he faced and ended his outing with a strikeout.

With the victory, Feliz improved to 7-4 with a 3.82 ERA this season. He has struck out 89 batters and walked 31 in 77 2/3 innings.

The River Bandits offense was led by A.J. Reed, the Astros' No. 15 prospect, who went 1-for-3 with a home run. After hitting 23 home runs this spring at the University of Kentucky, he has now hit nine home runs since Houston selected him in the second round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft.
