Outfielder Teoscar Hernandez, the Astros' No. 12 prospect, homered and matched a career-high with four hits Monday, helping to lead Class A Advanced Lancaster to a 15-2 victory at Visalia.
Hernandez went 4-for-6 with two doubles and the home run. He also scored three runs, drove in three runs and stole a base.
In 58 games this season, Hernandez is hitting .302/.382/.574 with 12 home runs and 21 stolen bases. He is one home run and three stolen bases away from matching his totals from last year in Class A Quad Cities.
Shortstop Carlos Correa, the Astros' No. 1 prospect and No. 7 in baseball, went 1-for-5 with two runs and a walk Monday. Third baseman Rio Ruiz, the clubs' No. 10 prospect, added three hits.
The beneficiary of the JetHawks' offensive explosion was left-hander Josh Hader, the Astros' No. 14 prospect. He limited the Rawhide to two runs on four hits in seven innings. He struck out three batters and one walk.
Hader improved to 6-0 with a 2.34 ERA with the victory. In 65 1/3 innings this season, he has struck out 75 batters, walked 22 and has a 1.01 WHIP.
