HOUSTON -- Marwin Gonzalez started once again Thursday in place of Jonathan Villar, who was out of Houston's lineup after being hit in the elbow with a pitch in Tuesday's win against the Angels.

Villar's X-rays came back negative, and he is still listed as day to day, according to Houston manager Bo Porter. Porter did add that Villar is feeling better.

"He's still a little bit sore," Gonzalez said. "He doesn't know when he's going to be back."

Villar entered Thursday hitting .193 with five home runs and 17 RBIs. Gonzalez was 0-for-3 in his place Wednesday in the Astros' 4-0 los to the Angels.
