"Not bad. I'll be all right," Springer said after receiving treatment. "It just gave out on me. I went to get back to the bag and it just went."
Manager Bo Porter said: "I think he got kind of a cramp. His leg gave out on him. He'll ice it, and we'll see how he is tomorrow."
Asked if he would've avoided the out if not for the leg, Springer said he'd like to think so. He also answered in the affirmative when asked if the pain had subsided in the half hour since the game.
"I'll be good to go," Springer said. "It's happened [before]. My body will bounce back."
Springer homered in the fourth, just one of two Astros hits off Weaver. Springer also made a running, tumbling catch to rob Hank Conger of extra bases in the second inning.
