The Astros and Major League Baseball are set to make a joint announcement on Tuesday morning at Minute Maid Park.

The announcement will take place during a news conference at 10 a.m. CT, with several members of Houston's front office and former Astros stars slated to be in attendance. It will air live on MLB.com and Astros.com.

Among those expected to be present are Astros owner and chairman Jim Crane, team president Reid Ryan and manager Bo Porter. Hall of Famer Frank Robinson, MLB's executive vice president of baseball development, and Houston Mayor Annise Parker will also be on hand.

Rounding out that group will be three-time All-Star Jimmy Wynn, two-time All-Star Jose Cruz and state representative Sylvester Turner. Astros radio broadcaster Robert Ford will serve as the event's emcee.
