HOUSTON -- He won't see a left-handed starter, but Ronny Cedeno was back in the lineup on Saturday.

The Astros' shortstop is hitting .455 (10-for-22) against lefties and .167 (3-for-18) against righties entering Saturday, but Astros manager Bo Porter penciled him into Saturday's lineup against Detroit right-hander Max Scherzer.

"With the slate of righties in which we have going, he's been playing well and I don't want him to sit too long without getting a start," Porter said. "He's got decent numbers against [Scherzer]."

Cedeno is 3-for-4 lifetime against Scherzer, with two RBIs.
