Quintero day-to-day with bruised knee

Quintero day-to-day after injury

MILWAUKEE -- Astros catcher Humberto Quintero left Monday's game against the Cubs after fouling a pitch off his left knee during his at-bat in the sixth inning.

Quintero was diagnosed with a bruised left knee and is listed as day-to-day.

Quintero fell to the ground in visible agony and was tended to by the athletic training staff before limping off the field.

Brad Ausmus hit for Quintero and nearly broke up Ted Lilly's no-hit bid, sending a line drive to right center that Jim Edmonds snared while diving.

The Astros broke up Ted Lilly's bid for a no-hitter in the seventh when Mark Loretta knocked a base hit to right.
