HOUSTON -- The news of Ozzie Guillen's tenure as manager of the Chicago White Sox ending was met with more than just a passing interest by Astros pitcher Lucas Harrell, who was claimed off waivers from the White Sox earlier this year. Harrell appeared in 11 games for the White Sox the last two years.
"Things happen and everybody has a time when they need to go somewhere else, kind of like with me coming here," Harrell said. "It was time to go somewhere else, too. Maybe some fresh faces and new people would be good things for him. I don't want anything bad for him. I want the best. I hope he goes in and does well."
Harrell's relationship with Guillen didn't run deep.
"I don't know that much about him and he didn't know that much about me," he said. "We didn't have much of a relationship. I know some of the guys like playing for him. There's always going to be mixed feelings, but I never had a problem with him."
