Pence, Lee contribute homers in Astros' loss

Astros at the plate: Hunter Pence doubled in the third inning and opened the sixth inning with his fourth homer of the spring. Carlos Lee also contributed a solo shot off Braves starter Mike Hampton in the sixth inning.

Braves at the plate: Mark Teixeira contributed a first-inning, two-run single, then scored on a Gregor Blanco triple. Blanco added two singles to give him a three-hit day that could certainly help his bid to win the battle for the fourth outfielder's spot.

Astros on the mound: Starter Woody Williams stumbled through a three-run first inning and then kept the Braves scoreless over the next five innings. Runelvys Hernandez surrendered an eighth-inning solo homer to Brian McCann.

Braves on the mound: Hampton further proved he's healthy by allowing just two runs and six hits in six innings. The only runs he allowed came courtesy of the two sixth-inning solo homers.

Grapefruit League records: Astros 12-14; Braves 13-11-2.

Up next for the Astros: The Astros continue their three-game road trip on Monday when they visit Jupiter, Fla., to play the Marlins. Right-hander Shawn Chacon, who locked up a rotation spot after his last outing, will take the hill for Houston. The Astros will face Marlins righty Chris Volstad.
