HOUSTON -- Right-hander Bud Norris is set to rejoin the Astros rotation, but when he will make his return to action isn't yet known.
Norris, who has been on the disabled list since May 24 with biceps tendinitis, threw six scoreless innings Tuesday night in a rehab outing at Triple-A Round Rock. He posted a 3.06 ERA in three rehab starts for the Express.
"I just located the ball down a lot more," Norris said. "The mistakes I made last time were up. I really worked on locating down in the strike zone and it really worked out for me."
Astros manager Brad Mills said Norris' next start will be with the Astros, but he wanted to wait to announce when it would happen. Norris was 2-5 with a 6.80 ERA in nine starts for Houston this season.
"We want to talk to some people who saw him pitch and talk to some of our starters first," Mills said when asked when Norris would be plugged into the rotation.
